Foothills Pointe is located on a peninsula on the easterly shore of Tellico Lake, a TVA lake impounded for recreation and economic development.

15 miles east is the lovely town of Maryville (an easy 20 minute drive) with a population of 30,000, located in Blount County which has 115,000 people. Within Maryville there is excellent shopping, restaurants, medical facilities, hospitals, churches, service businesses, golf courses & other recreational activities. There is plenty to do in Knoxville which is only 35 minutes from Foothills Pointe. There you can enjoy the shopping malls, restaurants, theater, opera, symphony, and sports events such as the University of TN Volunteer football team and the Lady Vols basketball team.
