Foothills Pointe on Tellico Lake - A Private Residential Community

Why Tellico Lake?

Tellico Lake is one of the cleanest of the TVA lakes.  Fresh water flows out of the Smoky Mountains into the Tellico reservoir.  There are no water polluting industries upstream.

Tellico Lake is a TVA lake impounded for recreation and economic development.  Since Tellico Lake was not impounded specifically for power generation, the water elevation  at Foothills Pointe does not vary significantly as it does on other TVA lakes.

Due to its descent into the lake, Foothills Pointe  has no mud flats during the winter when the water level drops approximately six feet - - thus  making for year-round dock usage and boating. This is not true on some of the other TVA lakes.

Not being landlocked, flowing directly into the Tennessee River System, it is possible to launch your boat in Tellico Lake and go anywhere in the world you and your boat feel big enough to go!
